Tried and Tested

Last week I tried my hand at a new recipe from 101 Things to Do with a Cake Mix. The recipe was Upside Down German Chocolate Cake and it was DELISH! I chose to make one little alteration... I added a tub of coconut/pecan frosting to the top of the cake to enhance the gooey-ness (and cover up the fact that the cake fell while baking ... that cream cheese mixture decided to bubble up and over, making the top of the cake not so pretty).

Even though it wasn't the prettiest cake, it certainly was a hit here at the office!! And goes to show ... looks aren't everything, it's what's on the inside that counts!
